How do I return an item?

Return Policy - USA


Returns on items can be made only within 30 days of receiving your shipment for a refund, no exceptions. All undergarments, tights, custom leotards, pointe shoes that have been sewn and makeup are FINAL SALE unless defective. All refunds are for the merchandise only. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the item is defective.


  • Must be suitable for sale "as new" in the original packaging with tags - not used, soiled, perfumed, washed or damaged.
  • Shoe boxes must not be damaged
  • Studio/Company performance and institutional orders are subject to a restocking fee.


Please include the following information in an email to returns@thedancewearshoppe.com


  • Your first and last name
  • Order number, found in the upper right hand corner of the packing slip
  • Item style number(s) and quantities you want to return
  • Reason for the return/exchange

Upon receipt and inspection, the refund will be applied to the same payment method used for the initial purchase.

If you selected Free Shipping (3-14 Business Days), the item(s) you returned will be refunded minus the the cost of shipping the item(s) to you.

Exchange Policy



If you would like to exchange an item for a different size, color or a different item, simply return the item(s) for a full refund less the shipping charge then place a new order for the 

desired item(s). Your new order will be charged the applicable amount for shipping, you WILL NOT be charged for any exchange fee.

International customers are required to pay their own postage.

Each return is authorized and tracked by a Return Merchandise number (RM#). 

To obtain an RM# include the following information in an email to returns@thedancewearshoppe.com

Defects


In the event a customer receives the wrong or defective merchandise a replacement will be sent to the customer at no cost. Also a pre-paid postage label will be emailed for the return. Replacement items will be shipped as soon as the return is received. Please contact Customer Service at 941-312-6312 for any questions regarding returns.
